deltaforce 33 fast setup help needed

hello i have a deltaforce 33.

i ran 74kmph /46mph today, i had a turnigy 180amp esc, octura x645, 6 cell lipo 4000mah 25c (100 amp max cont), nemesis blue 540xl 1191kv motor.

i want too change setup so i can get close too 60mph/100kmph.

i wonder if the 4000mah 6 cell lipo 100amp cont and 2220watts is enough for this speed?

i also have 8cell lipo 4000mah 25c batteries, i wonder if this and a feigao 1051kv 580l motor and a 200amp high volt esc would be great in this boat? what prop?

will the 8 cell setup run cooler because of more volts and less amps?

Me Thinks your not going to get to 60 mph with the 540XL... Ripfence is on target with that set up. I run a 1521/ SF 240 HV 5000mah 45c with a 645 - 447 in mine and it is sick fast. thats about $800 just in electronics and lipos though

i just sold my 540xl and i wonder what speed is possible with the leopard 4074 1400kv or the leopard 4082 1400kv with 6cell lipo and x645 ?

a friend is selling a feigao 580l 8l 1649kv
he is selling it cheap, so i wonder if i could get any + in performance with this motor?
i can run it on 5cell 30500rpm and maybe 6cell 36600rpm?

will this motor handle 6s?

what prop for 5s and 6s setups in deltaforce 33?

what speed?

is 4000mah 25c 100amps con discharge enough?

NO on the first 3 questions.

You may try various motors etc... but you will end up with RIPFENCE's proposal or if you find another 4 pole motor with 1400-1600 KV. maybe there are some Leopards.

will deans connectors be ok for the bateries with 6cell lipo and neu 1521 1577kv ?

I would suggest at least a 5mm bullet connector.. the deans will get hotttt under high amp draws.and you may want to install a spark arrester as well

pitch the deans several lipo battery Co's come with 5.5 bullets installed, I use them on my connections.

i had two turnigy 180amps 2-6s lipo, and a friend had a 200amp edo esc 6s-10s lipo for model airplanes, i traded one of the turnigy 180a with it and added a etti 150a cooling plate too it.

now my setup is:
the same nemesis 1191kv 540xl
changed prop from x645 too 43mm 1.4 pitch metal 2 blade.
edo 200a esc 6-10s lipo
7 cell lipo rhino 4000mah 25c

the boat is a beast on 7cell =) i hope i get too 50mph =) i really think it will because on 6 cell and x645 i got 46mph and it is much quicker. motor runs pretty hot 53 degrees celsius at max esc 54 degrees celsius at max dont know if this is too much heat?

Run exactly what ripfence suggested.
Motor KV x Volts =max rpm.
30,000 is max.

Neu 1521 1.5 D
2x 5000mah 4s
Castel Hydra 240 (before I had a Turningy 180, which broke)
Prop X448 => 88.9km / h = 54.7mph
Prop X447 / 3 => 86.3km / h = 53.6mph
Have not tried the 6s, but it is probably a lot faster ...

tested my df33 today with the same nemesis 1191kv 540xl and x645 2 blade octura prop sharpened and balanced. 200amp esc and 7 cell lipo!

thats 31000rpm without load.

anyway i got 80km/h / 50mph

think i will make 3-4km/h more with some fresh batteries..

the funny thing was that the motor esc batts was not so hot! just perfect temp

Nice work. With 6S, you just didn't have enough rpm. 8S would probably have been too much rpm, so the 7S is the perfect solution.
