ABC laserline possible project

I have seen this boat sitting for sale for about a year at the lhs. I've been looking for a project and decided to try to make it electric. I'm just wondering if this would be a good idea? I was going to try to mount a brushless motor on the current drive system and enclose it, or find a new out board motor. I don't want to spend a lot, I just have some extra parts sitting around. All coments welcome.

that super prop drive system sux i had one on a fredom o/b nitro nothing but problems, if your gonna do it ditch that pos o/b

I really wanted to strat with a fresh out drive

I was ether going to get the kyosho douphin or the aquacraft ep1. Would a boat like this look funny if it did not have an out board but instead a steerable drive? I also had the idea of putting a blast drive ssytem in it, the fit would be close

I was able to get electronic in and tested in bath tub, still need some work in the rear, hey it at least floats. I have never had a boat like this, a little bit of water comes over the rear.
