Salir Micro Hydro, Skunk Works custom.

    Hello to all,

Always wanted to work on one of Salir's hydros and found a great project on the swap shop. Took the micro hydro for a cosmetic rebuild. All internals are stock. Theme on this build was to look back in time for old school Bonneville Salt Flats idea. I found a rig called the rockabilly boogy and decided to name this build after it. For the boat: Added a transom doubler. Swapped out the strut support and machined the strut to round out the edges. Wiped out the anodize and polished everything up. I like the satin paint on this with the old school stripes. I did the SW on the transom for Skunk Works. Ran it on vacation in NH at the lake, but quite a windy / choppy for the week so I flipped it a couple times. Salir, great boat that runs like a rocket, the bearings in the strut make the deal, so smooth. The best part: The neighbor at the lake has his grandsons up, hung out with my kids and we were all smiles for hours upon hours.....great fun...great times....that is what it is all about. They could not believe their eyes to see this thing run on the lake. Enjoy the pics.

    All the best!

Wow! She is pretty! Love the polished hardware! We are really happy you like the boat. They truly are great little runners. Maybe your neighbor at the lake should buy one? Hahaha.
