Well Klaus, I would very much like to go to NC in Bergen next season.
I have just have to keep focus on building boats during the winter time.
If I can get a couple of my other boats the way I want them I will make trips to several NC races next year.

i was connsidering NC this year for the FE part of it all. but found that i was at work offshore for 4 of the 5 rounds so i diddent bother with any of them.
i realy hope that we can get a NC round to bergen next year but i have my dubts. seems like BHRT is "down" at the moment but we wil se. i might even have to join them my self to get some interest up in bergen.

This is my first FE boat. I have several gas boats. However the power in the Sniper is alot more than any gas boat.
Now when I am able to view atleast parts of my runs, no current, I can see that I have been running quite carefully even if the boat was fast.
Good way to start off the lipos.
Most of the time the rpm is between 25 and 27000rpm.
I will run some more this weekend.

The trill of running the FE boat is probably higher, for sure the power of this Sniper is difficult to compare to anything gas I have seen
But the siplicity, ease of use and long runtimes of a gas boat is also good.

On the Schulze web site I found a soft ware update. The version date says Nov 19 2009. But when reading the change note in "what's new in this version" is says on the top Aug 27 2010

It looks to me that they have got the current measeurement working, but not accurate.
It would be grate to have ball park data of the current.
I want to keep everything in auto, but will it still be in auto after installation?
So my question is: Should I try to download the new software?
The only thing I might like to change is the low voltage cut off.
During my first run I had the dil switch set to low (3.0v) which should be 36v.
I will next time set it to high (3.2v) 38.4v.
However when studying the log file, thanks to you Tyler
I find the voltage never to drop below 39v, even at 20% capacity remaining on the batteries.
So based on the log I would like to increase the LVC to 39v or 39.1v

Got it. Your data looked very good. Temperature was only 54C max and RPM was pretty good. Current measurement still does not work, but that was the change between the 300 and the 303. I sent you a screen shot of the full data set.
I still have it.
I have done some changes to it. Still some glass work to be done.
I will probably use a Zenoah in it instead of the QD. Gives me access to the Zenoah class in NC.
It seems I never sell anything, just buy more and more boat stuff.
Basically I have lost count of number of boats, motors and stuff.

Which version of firmware are you running right now? If unsure, when you connect your controller through Akkusoft it will say in the title bar "future-xxl-40.300wk VX.XX". I have V4.0 on mine, but it is a pretty recent manufactured unit. I imagine Schulze uploaded the latest on to yours when they soldered the wire onto the outputs. It looks like the V5.0 was targeted towards the -L and -XL controllers.
In general, I think the 3.2V/cell cut-off is very safe and I would just use the DIL switch to change that. I think it is safe to change the LVC cut-off value in the software, but 3.2V/cell is reasonably safe
The variables I am cautious about chnaging are the motor parameters.

I checked the software version, it is V 3.0
I had a great test today.
Changed the CG to 35%
Found that to be too high so I better get closer to 34.
However I managed to squeeze in a GPS in the boat and I also pinned it for a few of seconds. Man it is fast!!!!!!!
Off course GPS reading can be quite far off in a short high speed run but the GPS did say 136 kmh.
I am confident I can get it past 140 on a long run with lower CG.
I need to log the amps to see where I am at the moment.
Would be nice to get the Schulze amp logging working correct instead of having to spend $400 + on a Eagle Tree setup.

That is running sweet Anbjorn. We have seen similar speeds with FE snipers with lesser set-ups so I am pretty sure you have the potential to go over 160 with the right prop. You could try updating the firmware to V4.0 or V5.0 and see if the current logging works, but I have a feeling it will not. I am pretty sure that is why they came out with the 303 series.
Probably not a bad idea to invest in the Eagle tree so you do not go overboard. But, if everything is coming in reasonably cool than you are probably safe going up a size in props.
