Here are a few photos of the boat. I have been running it quite a few times. This thing hauls. It runs really wet till just over 1/2 throttle. Then it gets up on top of the water and goes. It turns really well at speed. I can get it going wide open and turn very sharp and it just goes, no rollovers (yet). It came with turn fins I can put on the hull, but untill I make it go faster I don't think I need them. I am running a fieago 6xl two 3cell lipos in parallel.

Looks great! Keep the turn fins in the box for a V hull. They are not needed on a cat (except for a very, very few minor exeptions). But this hull will never need them. Mines doing over 50 and still corners amazingly.

Oh also, you can lighten it up a bit by removing the radio box and just mounting everything to a plate. That was the first thing I did to mine.....

I was thinking of removing the radio box. I water proofed the servo. I had a new hobbyking 2.4 ghz remote and receiver, I saw in the tips section of this website how to waterproof the receiver. I bought the epoxy form here and proceded to water proof my receiver. When I put it back together, it did not work any more.
I did it just like it said, but bad experience. So that is why I have not removed the radio box. I ended up going to the local hobby store and buying a futaba radio.

Ive always used di-electric grease. You can get it at any auto parts store, walmart etc. Been using it for close to 20 yrs and never had an issue.
I think its about 8" from the Sponson transoms... not the overhang transom.

FWIW- I've had good luck using pure 100% clear silicone. It allows the buttons to work too, which is helpful if you have a bind button on the Rx. Careful that it doesn't emit acetic acid while curing. I've also used conformal coating, but is about $25 a can...

Pop the RX apart, pop the circuit boatd loose from whatever half it stays on, apply the grease to both halfs of the box and apply it to both sides of the board. Snap everything back together and let it ooze out. Clean up any excess and your done. Proofed for life.

Well after a bunch of runs and running it in some ROUGH WATER, the stringer came loose in the boat. Not a big deal, I glassed it up today will be back up and running. Was a little worried about this, but my buddy has a sv27 lost his stringers in the rough water too. I saw in the forums that this is not that uncomon. I will be back in business tomorrow.

your cg looks off.. too far towards the stern, i have one of these hulls from them running 3s2p and i turned the 3s lipos around and pushed them towards the front, with the power leads facing the stern if you know what i mean.. if you look at the word "select" on the side of the hull ... the cg should be right on the letter C in the word select.. after much testing, Ive adjusted mine there and it still turns on a dime and jumps rollers completely flat and level. It is now better balanced than my king of shaves! ... for the brass tube you might have to dremel it a bit to be able to adjust the strut angle since it is all glassed in make sure you re use or redo the heat shrink that covers the union...
