    Bought a gfreak hull.

    PHOTOS ADDED IN LATER POSTS

We will see. I bought a gfreak 32" victory cat hull set up with the bud select paint job last week. I have purchased everything that goes in it from this site and hobby king. Gfreak is out of their minds with the prices for the motors, ecs, and such. I will say the guys were very nice and helpful. I got a discount from them on the boat hull off of what they sell it for in the site when I called them to order it. We will see if it is hype or if they have a good hull. If I don't like it, back to them it goes and hobby king gets a order for a apparition cat. The information on this site was interesting about the gfreak guys. Like I said, we will see.

Well, I got my 32" victory cat hull from gfreak boys. AND................ This is a sweet boat. Good thickness on the fiberglass, the paintwork on it is sweet (I'll post some pics soon), the hardware was high quality, and it showed up on time and intact. I had some questions setting it up today, they answered the phone and answered all my questions. I know you guys seem to make fun of them, but they have been very helpful to me. I would not buy my motors, esc's, and other stuff from them (prices too high) but I could not be happier with the hull. THis forum was very helpfull, knowing what was going on before going in. I made some basic modifications to the guts of the thing, put in all the running gear that I collected from all over the internet. I took it out for its maiden run this evening. The boat handles very well in the turns, and handles rough water very well. I ran it at a lake with boat traffic. It is VERY fast, till a blade came off of the plastic prop I was running (I did not have time to ballance my octura). day over.

The reason why the hull looks good is because the g-freakers didn't make or paint it! lol I'll admit the bud paint scheme does look sweet! The reason people bash them is because they know only enough to be dangerous.....They put their pretty little stickers on other manufactur's parts and jack the price waaay up. I'd like to make some extra money also but I would not go about it B.S.-ing people the way they do.

Its a fantastic hull. I got one from a LHS who got it from a company called Imex. I did a whole thread on it and things to make it better. Its since been thru a fire and a rebuild. 8XL on 4S and its a wicked handling cat. One of my favorite hulls. If you search my posts you will find quite a bit on it.

Does look pretty cool Scott. Now switch those water lines around on the water-can and you will be cooking with crisco!

Scott, if you switch them them it will help get rid of air bubbles in the system. Also it will fill the can up almost completely with water before it exits via. the highest point.

Thought thats what was going to be said. My testing showed no difference in temp either way. Originally it was opposite but I didnt like the sloppyness of the cooling lines in the boat. So I changed it .

No No No .. very good observation! I did test it though before I left it that way. I felt the same as I didnt think it was going to cool as well. I figured the water would "dump" too fast through the motor. Maybe because its seperate from the cooling system for the ESC? Dunno, but it works well.
