Thanks John It is the toughest boat I build. It takes a while because of my age and rush orders. Glad the people that stick with me have some patience. I try to honor them with my best work.

Randy, love your works of art. Can you shed some light on how you achieve that incredible paint job. What color went on first? Is it mask up or free handed? Thanks for sharing. Steve

Wow Thank you, It was white, then yellow, red and then blue. Light to dark. The rip tares are hand generated, computer massaged and cut with vector art plotter.

Little up date I got the front sponsons fitted to the boat I am working to make them interchangeable with the Oval sponsons with out changing the strut. It is a little of a chore to do, Luckily I have some tricks to make it work.

Got the sponsons fixed so the strut will not have to be moved. This took a lot more work than I expected. I have been working on this for the last two days. I am getting ready to paint Plain Pink sounds boring...... Tracy do you want a little black graphics to spice it up a little?

Well I am getting the parts in to primer, Tomorrow all the boat will be primed. These new Sponsons I built and every one before like this was stinking fast. Wilmer just dies to have me build them for him like this.

As any scratch builder knows painting is a important but boring part of the job. A lot of sanding, glazing and dust! Now I wait for the Glazing puddy to dry when I just want to paint it pink and be done.

Well after a total of 5 days off and on......priming and glazing I am past the point for most of my own SAW boats for finish. I do sort of a rough and ready for my own hulls and this is a little better than that about the same as the red boat.

Sorry Tracy I thought it was a little boring to paint it pink. But you know I think it is a little funny now that I am doing it. It is pink!

Well there is a gent in Texas that wants a SAW rigger so this thread will be on going to his build. In my head I am thinking "The Texi-can" Hope that is not offensive. Ya'all from down there can help answer the question.
