Mganga RC Boat Project — The Story So Far

    Hi everyone!

I'd like to share my custom high-speed RC boat project, which I originally started back in Ukraine. After moving to Poland, I'm now planning to continue working on it here.

The hull was built from XPS foam and finished with fiberglass-reinforced body filler. It measures approximately 127 ? 33 ? 20 cm.
I also have most of the propulsion components ready, including two TP Power TP4060 VI KV1950 motors and two Hobbywing Seaking V3 180A ESCs, propellers, drive shafts, and rudder ready. I'll show these in future posts.

Unfortunately, the cabin, which was the most complex part of the design, was destroyed during transport to Poland. But I'm choosing to look at this positively. The original cabin was more of a conceptual design, with quite an elaborate, futuristic look. Now I have the opportunity to redesign it from scratch, keeping the boat's aggressive character while making the cabin more practical and realistic.

My next major step is to make a mold and produce the fiberglass hull using epoxy resin.

I'd be happy to hear your advice, especially on mold-making methods and materials. I'll share photos and updates as the project progresses.

Thanks for having me here, and greetings to everyone who enjoys building things with their own hands!
