    threaded or non threaded propeller shaft

    resurrecting an aero marine 1/8 scale hydroplane. back in the 80s we used a flex shaft to a ferule to a needle bearing strut to a non threaded propeller shaft. the propeller was held on with a piece of fuel tubing no nut . can i use a threaded shaft. what is the best way

    Best to post of picture of what hardware you're using to better illustrate what it is you're trying to accomplish. I've seen fuel tube used as a spacer behind props, but never without a locknut.

      thanks for the reply. bottom set up is completed assembly. top is the parts not completed minus the strut
