Nice thread, fun to watch and understand how it self perpetuates you into doing just one more step. Ok, I will stop after getting the steps framed.... I can't just leave em there, why stop when I could skin em? Might as well skin the sides too.... etc until wee hours of the night.

Where did you get your laser cutting done?

Are these your original design, or did you start with some plans and make your modifications?

Nice documentation, I will definitely do the 1/8" squares along the corners in my next one, makes the skinning much more betterer.

Guess What I got in the mail?

Well first of all I am going to show you the cut out from my tub.

and now for the suspensful what I got in the mail, check out these two little 2848's with 3900Kv they just fit and when I do some clearance cutting they will have a real nice space in which to fit into.

You all know this will start Morfing over night and motor mounts will show up then who knows what else, I wonder if they will be Carbon fiber or will they be aluminum (polished of course)? Hmmmm lets just see!! I might suprise my self.

It is just something a little different, kind of like my orange and black boat with the bumps on the nose just something to set it apart from everyone else's I actually put that nose on the plan

                    Applying Resin To The Interior

Well I got som carbon fiber in the mail yesterday from my #1 son so I just had to put it in the bottom of my boat as it was calling me for some attention anyway. so here is what I have done so far

This one is a bit dark but here it is any way.

This one saw the light and looks better than the last!

While I was working on it you might notice I have sanded the back end to the way it is suposed to look, I will soon be adding the stand off box but before that I will have to get all my blind nuts placed mounting my drive struts (I need to buy them first)
So while I wait for my struts I will be doing some things like finishing putting resin in my sponsons and getting the boat good and water tight (and tough) and making my motor mounts, rudder package ect.

                        Couldn't Stop

Well since I had the epoxy out I wen ahead and painted all the in side "raw" wood for moisture protection and it looks cool and toughens up the sponsons,

                            Thank you,
I have just been trying to eliminate all the little anoying things from all previous builds, like sectioning the bottom, instesd of being monolithic, extra blocking on the steps, sanding through the plywood and such. Now this one is different as I am adding water cooling to it (which is something that should always be there) but you know the little heli motors seem to work out well without it I mostlikely would just cool the esc's on the out runner style and call it good. Just babbling sorry.

Put on the nose and made the Motor Mounts

Well I had a busy day working on my boat as you all can see, I added the nose and now I fabbed up a couple carbon fiber motor mounts and tacked them into place,
First I started by making a couple of templates out of some 1/32" birch plywood scrap I had lying around and then transfered that info over to the carbon fiber sheet, It is about 1/16" thick and very stiff, the mounts turned out pretty well and I am satisfied with them, I have them tacked into place with CA glue and then I will put some epoxy on them to keep them in place.

                              The templates

                              The mount

A close up of one mount, I later slotted all the holes to the down side to get my motor's lower.

One Motor set in Place with the mount drying.
