This is my first RC boat and i cant wait to get in out on the water. the boat is a TS jolly cat with hardware and I am currently waiting on a CC HV240 and Neu 1527 1Y and will be running these on 6s2p. Right now the boat has a Groupner 51mm prop however I am unsure of what prop to use so any recommendations would be helpful. For now here are a couple pics of what i have, as soon as i get more parts i will post more pics.

That thing will freaking FLY with that setup!!! That prop should be OK. Try yourself some octura copper props. Make sure they are sharpened and balanced. What size wire drive is that? Make sure to keep a close eye on all temps when you maiden her. Do a couple straight line shots and bring it in to check it all out. You're gonna love it!

k so I will start with the prop I have now (Graupner 51mm) and watch the temps.
If temps are good and I want more speed then I will experiment with props with more pitch maybe a x648.
If temps are good and speed is good then I will try a x450.
If Temps are high then i will try a x447.
Any other ideas are welcome, Im new to boats so I can use all the help I can get.

Turnigys are fine.Originally posted by biasca09 View Post
I have killed all of the best of them, Flightpower, Polyquest etc. I have stuffed a few of the lower cost ones too such as Rhino and Zippy.
I will only use Turnigy now as bang for buck they are the best.
There are better cells out there but you will need deeper pockets than mine.See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

Good to know about the turnigy, at those prices i can get two set of batteries instead of one set. It looks like the HV240 should arrive tomorrow and the motor and water jacket are still a ways out, Steven special ordered that for me on the 6th this month. once i have the esc and the wiring in I will have a few more pictures to post. Thanks to everybody that has chimed in and help to answer my questions.

Just wanted to see what upgrades ToysPort made to the driveline. I got mine some years ago and it didn't come with the wedge or the adjustable strut. I just upgraded mine and I can't wait till spring comes along to see how she runs now!!!
Thanks, KenOK, You Go First!!!
