Here is the new baby.
Hull
850mm 33.5" long
750mm 29.5" to rear step
245mm 9 3/4" wide
120mm 4 3/4" tunnel width
35mm 1 3/8" tunnel depth
Designed and built with the aid of a lot of photos and a lot of reading.
The steps at the moment are 3 deg AoA and flat.
I now have a "blank canvas" and will follow the same route as I did with the smaller cat. I will run it as is and see what can be added later as far as ride flats and strakes are concerned.
Why this Cat ?
I killed the mono and was happy doing so as I am not really a mono guy.
I chose to do another cat and a single for now.
The 7XL will drop in here and spin a 440 or bigger. I'll keep it to 4S for now but that may change
Plans
This is the least drawn hull I have built so far, I have 4 photos of cats that are scribbled on as far as proportional dimensions go and a few basic dimensions of the hotr cat from Scott.
This is deffo a build by eye and fill in the gaps and see what comes out at the end.
It is built so that I can drop a pair of L cans in later if I feel the need to go twins.
Progress will be a bit slow on this as I am back on duty in the morning for the next 4 days and it is school holidays here too, so workshop time is limited.
This is what we have so far.
