Glad they have to make it vs. grabbing off the shelf. A few years ago I bought the 36" SK-Daddle from a hobby shop & it was junk. The glue in the plywood was letting go, ended up in the fire pit.
I got mine off RCU,it was old stock. The ply was like balsa, some epoxy fixed most of it. I got some new skins from National balsa. Still waiting for the new boat from Dumas Larry

I ordered my new boat(SK20) on Feb 15,they shipped on Feb 28. )n the SK2, I went with a flex shaft, and strut, mounted to transom. stuffing tube is tight to bottom (outside) of hull. Larry
Gentlemaen--I am building this boat also (or will be when recieved) Have some questions after reading this thread carefully.
1. What length drive shaft should I use?
2. What diameter/pitch prop?
3. Am thinking of using the Traxxas Villion Marine 550 motor.(DTXH1055). It is 23 turn, 14 volt. I know natta about this stuff so here is the question--What battery?? I was going to use a 7.2 mimh battery, but will that only give me 50% rpm? Whant to keep overall cost down so want to go with a brushed motor--any suggestions.
4. I know this is really off track, but will ask anyway--am trying to go 2.4 with transmitter/reciever. I already have a 2.4 Park Zone transmitter--can I use this and just buy reciever(s) or should I buy a "matched" transmitter/reciever set. I am concered about "strength" of the Park Zone and ability to bind with a differed reciever. Hope this makes some kind of sense.
Any help would be appreciated. Bill
If you step on my tail, you had best make plans to deal with my teeth!!!
The SK20 came today, ordered on Feb 15, shipped on Feb 28 came March 5. The kit came with 2 sets of side skins, no deck skins. The instructions look like they came from 1960. The plywood is not verry good. infact it STINKS Thank God for epoxy! Not happy with it. Dumas will be geting a call on Monday!! Larry

I think it is from about 1960? Sucks about the wrong parts.
Up date on SK 20 The deck is in 3 parts, the 2 side decks are with the side skins, the center deck is by itself. All parts are with the kit. The pans stink,go slow. Larry
