I'm getting ready to go to the FE Nats, I had came to the conclusion that my current SSH boat was a bit on the small side for the boats that will be running this class at the nats so I decided to build a new one to help handle the rougher water generated by the larger boats. Here is my new "Flashpoint" she went from drawing board and blank paper to finished hydro in 9 days. She is all scratch built from light plywood. She is right under 28 inches long, very low profile and weighs 4LBs 6 oz on the water. The paint is House of color lemon pearl yellow and candy red, I applied some quick airbrush work to the deck then clear coats were sprayed to finish the paint job. Power is a BJ 26 and 4s hyperions. On the first test the boat is fast, will fine tune the prop selection next but she is race ready. Here are a few photos.
