Bill, I am sorry to state but when I go on holiday I have to pay my own way and for this Lady to shut down streets and British venues at a huge cost to British security forces is ridiculous for an unofficial visit to take the kids for fish and chips etc. Even the queen does not do this nonsense.

Well then I guess that she should never again travel anywhere unless she is on official business. Because it is simply absurd to think that any private citizen would be made to bear the costs that she would in order to travel.

Her kids shut down traffic and have serious and expensive security when they go to school. Perhaps, using the same logic, the Obama's should pay for that out of their own pockets (they do pay for the school on their own).

Please note that the queen has many abodes. One is Balmoral and I never saw the rubbish that this Obama photo op created in that community. She goes to the church and it is not shut down for other patrons. Plus this is the wife of a president who holds no real power same as the queen
