Well ladies, Simons 2 x 2s lipos that he gave to me (as in free) arrived and have been put to good use. My Xzess 2 did 96.8 kph or 60.14 mph today.
Setup was...
Neu 1515 0.5 Y, Hydra 240 lv, Turnigy nano 2s1p lipo and an Andym M545 = 96.8 kph or 60.14 mph
Thanks to Andy and Simon for their part. I am going to try an M645 next time and see if I can improve on this speed. I am more than happy now but people have gone much faster than this on 2s.

I hope no one takes my posts as boasting. 3 years ago I was a newbie at FE boats. In the time since then I have learned and continue to learn from most people on OSE. Andym has taught me a lot and his props continue to bring me even higher speeds as time goes on. The good Doctor Wayne has helped me immensely during the short time I have known him. People like Jay Turner have taught me about boats in general over many years of reading in model magazines and now OSE. People like Brian Buaas and Chris Harris give me goals to reach for. Anything Doug Smock writes is always worth reading. Then there is my very important friends on this thread that have encouraged me through sickness and health. Mate I have nothing to boast about. My small achievements in boating have been done with the help of many people. Bugger it, I do have something to boast about... all the wonderful people on OSE
The only thing I feel I did on my own is the modification to the Xzess 2 hull that stops blow overs. This little hull is my first real FE boat and has gone form a brushed to a brushless motor. It has had 2 nuclear meltdowns inside it and hit the bank twice and ring barked my leg once. It has gel coat cracks from stem to stern and looks pretty shabby in general. Despite it's age it continues to set new personal best speeds for me. 75 mph on 3s and 60 mph on 2s is none to shabby as you say.
While I am at it a big thank you Douggie for your help and all the laughs you have given me

That term was in jest, now go back and tweak the boat for higher speed and yes I do love your posts with videos with voice over and Aussie humour in many others

Oh I am not parting with my Maritimo Doc. I love that boat. I have been thinking that a pussy big enough to slot that 400/500 amp esc and a big motor into would be a good idea though. I am thinking in the 90 to 100 mph area would be nice. Any ideas on what hull and what motor would get the job done. Not as nice as a twin but I have to do something with that big esc.Originally posted by drwayne View PostPaddy
