All will be revealed in good time. This is just the first phase. Now I have to make something up to stop it riding over the boat it is pushing. I am not sure if I will call the Saints boat "The Riewoldt" or "The Gehrig",Several boats in various stages of destruction

These guys are my hero's. Anyone got their address or phone number? I would like to invite them to my pond.

I have always had an interest in mini speed boats like the one in the video. Hydro's are even better. Anyone have any interesting videos or plans about a boat under 10 foot. Not sure I could build one on the kitchen table but maybe in the spare bedroom.

Andy what is the deal here. You can see my 1521 0.5 Y come apart. It looks like there is no damage but how do I make it more secure than the factory did? It looks like they just go around it with a center punch but obviously that is not good enough. This could have destroyed my YGE Navy 200 esc and I would have cried for a month if that happened. Any ideas on how to make it more secure? Yes I know I could use a bigger hammer on the punch but there must be a better way.

Wank over it and paint it black...just my 2 dribbly cents.
Seriously, has anyone had the same experience?
Paddy, show us a picture from the motor mount end, just curious if too much pressure was applied.

i would, pull it completely apart then stick they end cap back in by its self and drill 3 holes going threw the can into the end cap. the end cap holes could then be tapped and the can holes made slightly to allow a bolt to go threw, if no tap is available then pin the 3 holes with some thin stainless steel rod, make the hole just big enough to take the pin and use a bit of ca to hold pins in, if you do pin it leave enough exposed pin to get a set of pliers on it so it can be removed.
only other thing is bearing lock compound (usually green) this will lock the end cap in place but you will never get it apart again

Paddy I have serious doubts that Douggie's suggestion will work !!
If the windings are intact and the bearings ore ok I would reassemble with Loctite retaining compound and lightly retap the punch marks. USE a thrust bearing to take the load !!!!!!!!! This is a must when using motors that are not bolted.
