$500???? What size boat was this? I could have shipped you five 35" monos for less than that cost.

Steven it was a BBY oval racing rigger but not one from Randy. It was a private sale and I said I would take it before I knew how much the postage was. Once I say I will take something I hate backing out even if it costs me money. The guy would not pull it to pieces so it was sent ready to run and you can imagine the size of the box needed. Randy sent me one of his SAW riggers and the postage on that was much less because Randy packs his goods well and gets the parcel as small as possible. Don't get me wrong as I am not moaning about the guy or the deal. The guy went above and beyond to get the rigger to me and it is my best handling boat. I look after it and unless some unforeseen disaster happens It will still be in my collection 10 years from now. It is a keeper.
Please do not get us wrong as we know it is not you fault about the cost of postage. I am one that would not mind paying less postage if it took a month or 6 weeks to get something I do not need in a hurry. You do offer the fast service and I have used that several times and get your products within 7 days. It is not often I need things in a hurry though. HK often take a month and I accept that but if I want something in a hurry I will never rely on HK.

I hear what you are saying Chuck but you have skills that I do not possess and skill is something I am willing to pay for. I never sell a prop so I have a good collection now but from time to time I will send you some that need a touch up or tweaking. I like to keep them in good condition.

I have to agree with the Doc about the cost of transporting goods from the USA to Oz. I use ebay a lot and even there the goods I buy come from Asia and it is the price of postage that is the reason I make that choice. I can only earn so much money in the short time I have left on this earth so if I can buy the exact same product in Asia for less money than I could in the USA then guess where I will buy? As an example I purchased a new Tamiya Mini Cooper R/C car off ebay and saved $33 by buying from Malaysia instead of the USA. The difference was the freight. The last boat I purchased from the USA cost more than $500 for freight and that was an outrigger. That was the point where I said never again. Sure I buy from the USA but it has to be at a competitive price for the exact same item. The prices in the USA are great but the shipping price stinks. We understand the shops have no control over that. We love to deal with you guys but get something done about the cost of shipping or it will hurt you all big time. America needs every sale it can get at this point in time so I hope the US postal service can get behind big and small business in the USA and offer their customers a better deal. Yes, Australia is small potatoes in the American economy but the world has many of little potatoes that add up to lots of $$$'s and jobs in the USA

I'll locate the coordinators for 2013 and let you know.

Id like to thank the Aussie group for your continued support of OSE. You guys are great customers. I dont want to step on any of the AU dealers toes, but I would like to help support one of the larger races this or next year. If you guys have ideas let me know?

However, do consider that Ive identified less than 1/3 the wallaby chasers here as part of that 'race or go-home' association ... your company name is already well known and appreciated within their FE fraternity.
I am the only member that association regularly offering crass comment inside this S+K thread, for example.
