Frankly, I think at this time the media has gone wild with this story. The flu every year kills thousands of people. This endemic outside of Mexico has killed one person. Malaria kills many more people. It is all about fear and every confirmed case outside of Mexico with the exception of one case in Texas has been a MILD case of the flu.

Like I said earlier... what is our government doing up there while they have us all looking the other way??Originally posted by Flying Scotsman View PostFrankly, I think at this time the media has gone wild with this story. I'm becoming more and more suspicous of the timing of these things as time passes...

Just a note if this virus mutates, it could be a big problem. The Spanish flu pandemic was at a time when many vaccines were not available.

Fortunately we know that evolution is a lefty secular hoax against God so mutation is impossible, since mutation is one of the very foundations of evolution.Originally posted by Flying Scotsman View PostJust a note if this virus mutates, it could be a big problem.

Uh Darin, my car accident death comment was one directed at the concept of relative, or comparative risk.
The hysteria about this current strain of "swine" flu seems disproportionate to the actual threat. 36,000 American die from flu every year. That number shocked. 1 person has died in the the US from the swine flu and that was a little Mexican girl visiting Texas, legally I might add. And yes, 125 people died in car accidents yesterday, but all we hear on the news is the hysteria over swine flu.Don't get me started

I was in the Navy back in the 70's when the first so called pandemic of swine flu hit. We (military members) all had to get shots and folks where running scared. I still think it was perpetrated by the drug companies to boost sales for a product that wasn't really needed. It is like rabbit fever - when the population becomes to high sickness brings the population back into an environmentally sustainable number (it is natures way).IMPBA 20481S D-12

They (I believe a congressman from somewhere in New England) are working on a repeal of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
Frightening indeed.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolves
