Yes we do, 3 teachers were quarantined for it, one for 1st degree contact coming back from new york, and one for second degree contact with her, and one for 3rd degree contact with her spouse visiting the 1st degree teachers family.

All good though, teacher who came back from new york has been given a treatment of tamiflu, and will be back at school on monday.

keep in mind the one infant death in Texas that the news is reporting was a visitor from Mexico but ABC says nothing about where the child came from. Nothing here in central Calif so far. Where are the meds?

Let's see: The Swine flu originated somewhere in Mexico, yet we (well, our government) still "encourages" illegal aliens to cross the border for all the free stuff they can receive - including healthcare. That certainly sounds like a sane policy to me.



Those little viruses can't tell the difference between an evil Conservative or a tolerant Liberal. They are equal-opportunity infectors. In more sane times when the politically correct illegal immigration issues were not a factor, our government (whose duty it is to protect the citizens), would have been more proactive in preventing the spread of a disease.

Not one single case of this flu has been attributed to an illegal alien. Every case outside of Mexico appears to be the result of people who have recently traveled legally from Mexico. But as usual, let's not let facts get in the way of a good Right Wing Rant.

I am not aware of any local cases yet. Some schools (private) have closed but that is about it. One point to keep in mind is that approximately 30,000 Americans die every year from the flu or related illnesses.

This is scary stuff. My son got a touch of something bad yesterday. He was vomiting, tired and on the weak side for a while. Since we just were on a plane we worried that it was the Swine Flu, but he has seemed to have gotten over it. Thankfully!!!

One case in Missouri confirmed. We have two office women still in Mexico on vacation and back Sat. Our director was convinced by a few of us and are putting them on administrative leave for a few days and work from home unitl we get the ALL clear that they get no symptons. We feel it is important enough to the rest of the staff to do this. The two women do not know this as they are still in Mexico but a letter has gone up to HR informing them of our actions.
