What we in the West fail to recognize is that through their eyes we look the same to them as they look to us through our eyes. They feel we want to kill them all, much as Bill has said, and they feel they are protecting their way of life. But since we "know" that our God is on our side against them and their God, then we must be right.

No Bill, we do not look the same to them. That's the problem with many on the Left. They think people are all the same inside. They're not. These people are evil. Will you try to tell me evil does not exist?

These people send their children to madrasas (sp.?) at an early age where all they learn is the Koran and hatred of all non-believers, and especially Jews and the West. When you were reading Dick and Jane see Spot run, they were learning that Jews make bread from ground-up Arabs bones, and that killing a Jew is an honorable thing to do. They know nothing other than hate of everything Jewish and Western. Bill, they hate you. They hate you with a passion. They always have, and thay always will. And a whole bunch of them would love the opportunity to kill you. They feel the same about me.

Their God mandates to them that they convert us or kill us. There is no tolerance. Their religion teaches them that Jews and Infidels are lower than dogs, pigs, and monkeys (which they hold lower than most other animals). Killing a Jew or Infidel is no more offense than killing a dog. Their religion teaches them that they get 72 virgins in heaven if they kill a bunch of civillians on a bus or in a nightclub.

There is a diffenence between us. If the USA flew airplanes full of innocent people into commercial buildings full of innocent people, would our population dance in the streets, pass out candy to children and fire AK-47s into the air?

Bill, they (the FANATICAL Muslims) have made this a fight to the death. You can not negotiate with their position. Convert or die are not choices I would like to make. You are right about one thing, the right has taken from me and you and given it to the rich. Now Obama wants to reverse that and somehow you are against it?? Once again I marvel at the ability of the right to get the very people who are harmed by their policies to defend them.

Darin, do you make over $250K in taxable income per year? If not then you will NOT see your taxes go up. If you make more than $250K but less than $6.3 MILLION then your taxes will go up, and the more you make the more they will go up. IF you make more than $6.3 million, they will go way up. So why is it that you are such an ardent defender of the rich??

First... I want to take back the word rediculous I used previously... and replace it with "weak"... it was a "weak" comparision... I appologize for that language...

Second... You are buying into all that they are telling you... Under Clinton, my taxes went up... Under Carter... everyeones taxes went up... Under Bush... my taxes are lower... Under Reagan, taxes were lower... even though BO keeps stating that his plan would lower them below Reagans (the facts don't support this)

In fact... According to a show I heard on NPR this weekend... The tax structure has become MORE and MORE PROGRESSIVE each time a new REPUBLICAN administration has taken office, and the "rich", as you are referring to them, have actually shouldered MORE of the burden than they already are...

The top 1% of income earners in the US already pay about 25% of the taxes/income for the Government... the top 5% pay over 50% of that income, or something like that...

And lets not forget that MANY of these "rich" are the small and medium businesses out there that MAKE OUR ECONOMY WORK... You raise taxes on them and businesses go elsewhere...

Ireland is a good example of what happens when you LOWER corporate taxes..... I've read that businesses are moving there and opening shop, creating Jobs and helping the economy...

Finally... Obama, based on what you are suggesting, wants to take from the "rich", and give it to the poor... He wants to RAISE taxes... whether it be on all of us (which it WILL be, based on past history... Clinton, etc.) or on those higher income folks...

McCain wants to lower EVERYONE's TAXES... And there is a track record to show that this is what will happen...

You can't HAVE rich people to tax if you don't have businesses that are making them that way... THAT is what I'm fighting to protect... I'm fighting to keep Boeing from moving everything overseas due to the pain in the A$$ it is here in Washington due to the Democrats wanting to tax the crap out of them... I'm fighting to BRING businesses in, not push them away...

I will benefit by having job and career options in a flurishing economy, as will many others...

GIVE ME A BREAK! He ONLY did it after it became a liability to his current campaign... Just like the Ayers deal, etc... One by one, he "denounces" his past associations as they get discovered... Obama is amazing to me. No matter his actions, what he says, or who he associates with, nothing sticks to him. He's almost magical. I can see lots of people believing in his idea's, but I think the other half of the people that are voting for him are almost in some kind of trance!

no doubt. but I thankfully don't have the time so I'll just dip my toe in and not fully immerse myself in this particular discussion. I haven't even read the crap between the "salute-the-flag" post and this one yet. That's a lot of typing Jet - or copy/paste, either way...lots of text.
As I've said before, I really would rather not know my fellow boaters' party affiliations, as it has no bearing on my boat driving and that is what our friendship is based upon, not politics...again - thankfully.
Unfortunately, this thread accomplishes nothing but to get some people rattled IMO. I'd be truly interested to hear from anyone who's mind has been changed by anything written in this thread.
Hopefully it means everyone is checking facts from their own trusted sources and most importantly gets out there to vote next week. I can't believe it's only one more week!
