I spent 20 years in the cement industry with Lafarge corp. U.S.
then I spent 10 years as a cabinetmaker. I am retired now.

rite on man... i always enjoyed woodworking... as a hobby tho. when its a job its a bit less relaxing hehe

LOL... Musician's Union and the American Federation of Musicians prevent any video recording of any live concerts, unless we get paid.
On a movie sound track session we have to sign release forms if a "big star" comes to visit the sound stage and his or her publicity people want to do a shoot. The above occasion was just an example.
Rules , rules and rules everywhere---another reason I don't race, who can deal with so many rules in their lives??!!

Oh man. My whole life is rules.

NFPA standards, Building codes, owner specifications, insurance requirements, UL Listings, manufacturers spec, the laws of physics. Sprinkle in some scheduling, material acquisition and some people management and you get........... one big bucket of yyyyuck.

That parts does blow chunks. Maybe that's why racing rules seem minor to me. Never thought about it before.

Exactly. Even in this forum you've got to follow rules. I've never been much of a "let's follow the rules" kinda guy. I don't like being told how to act. I am who I am like it or not.
Where would we be if Jim Morrison had complied to Ed Sullivan's demand that he not sing his lyrics? I shudder at the thought. Rules are meant to be broken.

Well I'll wade into all this.
As an industrial & commercial Electrician I generally wire up multi story office & apartment towers, hospitals, sewage & water treatment plants, bridges, wharf facilities, shopping centers etc. Enough rules & codes in all that to make your head spin.

I respect the talents required by all you guys in your chosen professions. I love music & can play a bit of guitar. As a therapeutic hobby I used to restore old wooden furniture. And I even prepped my old Datsun 1600 ready for painting many years ago. So I sort of understand the requirements with you guys.

I know what you mean. I come from a family of plumbers. Every fitting you put on you gotta look in the code book (size of the Declaration of Independence) to make sure it's code. I didn't last long. Painting cars for me lo
