No destruction as long as you don't lock up the brakes with the brick on the dash!

Job well done mate!! Have you worked out the time required to get the cells up to an even temp?
      Andy
That little experiment is next Andy.

Chuck (pink out of respect for FEMBOT memebers).....
My problems is I can not get my dash to the water so I needed something portable that can keep packs warm for a few hours. Both items have a dual use. I work as a security guard in a college and I am often asked to help start cars with flat batteries. The Jump Starter is a lot better than pushing cars. You can also use it as a light to find your beer at night. New Zealanders use them to inflate their blow up sheep. The battery warmer becomes a cooler on the way home from the pond. I use it to cool a different kind of six pack for the trip home. Andy makes a little moonshine and sends me some cans for Xmas every year.

      Douggie....
A brain is not a requirement to be a Tasmanian. If you can fix your car with fencing wire you just got yourself a Tasmanian visa.

        Andy,
I finished the last part of the test on the Lipo warmer today.
At 1 hour the packs were at 90 F and after 2 hours they were at a nice 110 F.
I think that I will start warming the packs about 30 minutes before I leave home and then they will be at 90 F for the first boat and successive packs for my other boats will only be closer to the temperature mark.
I have a question. If I start with the pack at 110 F will it get too hot after a few minutes of running? My boats never run the packs higher than 125 F but I have been starting at normal air temperature.

BTW... it is back to madness and mayhem, rape and pillage after these moments of sanity.

Paddy because the internal resistance is lower when the packs are warm you will probably see cooler temps slightly. When you ask a high amp draw from a cold pack is when temps can get out of control or if you are like me and ask them to operate outside their safe paramiters.
          Cheers
Have to get back to fibre glassing the nose and first 5" of seem on the DF33 now, stuffed her at approx 55mph and the bottom of the pond was harder then the boat.

Thanks for your answer Andy. I might take Mr. Krabs for a run and see how the warmer goes.

I hope the DF33 is back on the water soon. At least it come off better than your Vacu Pickle did when it met the same end.

Paddy thanks for the concern, I must have been a bloody druken submarine captain in a past life. Now talking about drunk, how PISSED where you when this was taken? http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=PY3p7m0VvTA , or this http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=z3wmpalTANY .
Not a straight line in site mate. Well done. Mate if you are going to try SAW running seriously then SOBER up a bit. The S bit stands for STRAIGHT !!!!
Now as far as public safety is concerned I assume you drove a CAR to the pond in this PISSED state. I have already called Detective Sergant Smith from the Launceston Police to report you but because of your personal relationship with CHOPPER ( gay ) and the fact that he is busy selling my drugs thinks a warning would be more appropriate.
So I phoned GREEN PISS and told them of your DRUNKEN DUCK MURDERING WAYS they where interested but said something about being to busy selling whale meat.
So young Paddy take this as a warning drunk boating will only be allowed if I get an invite and you buy the booze

                Andy,
You know last night was Saturday night and me and the guys and the topless girls from the bar over the road all have a dance in one of the showrooms at the car yard I am doing security at. I guess I had a bit too much to drink before I went to the pond. Mate you have not got a chance in hell of getting any charges pressed as all of your police mates were at the dance too. You should see some of the girls they supply for the pole dancing contest. I just do not know how I ended up wearing womens underwear this morning. Womens underwear and a KILT to be exact.

I consumed a bit of Scotch before going to the pond Jan. I am not worried about the womens underwear thing as that often happens but I am worried about the kilt.

Paddy, I am really concerned, as you know the Scots do not wear anything under there kilts. Were there any transvestites at the party???

Douggie now you have me worried. There was this girl from Thailand who came and sat on my knee. I thought she said her chest was tight. Maybe he/she said I am a transvestite. OMG. The music was loud, the accent was broad and the Scotch was just running down my throat. Maybe that was a real mustache he/she was wearing. Oh the shame.
