Chuck your boat will shatter that speed. I think you have a 1515 1y too. Today my boat had the prop out of the water most of the time as it bounced from one wave to the next.

I agree with Paddy chuck, I did well over 60mph with a 1512 Nue and a x640. The 1515 with a 45-47 mm prop will be quicker.
It all comes down to set up so it stays on the water and turns at 60 +

Thanks for the info Paddy and Andy. I will start saving for this combo after I get some lipos. As of right now I was going to run an aveox motor and a turnigy plush 100a esc. I may still do that for the time being.

Go for it Chuck. It will give you some wheel time and let you get the boat dialed in a bit. You might be surprised by the speed you get. These are fun boats but fast too. I would like that white one that is for sale but it is just for the USA. My wife wants me to sell some of my boats. I told her that will happen right after she sells all her girlie books and make up.

            Andy,
Xzess 2 tested again today. Rough water again. Tried a X642 prop this time. 88.5 kph with some trigger left to squeeze. I will try an M545 next.
This time I preheated the battery. Top temp was 140 and that was the battery. The esc was 118 and motor warm. No water cooling. 16 laps divided into 4 sessions.
            I love this Hydra 240

Andy I know you were interested in this. My XtremeLink converter that will convert my JR - R1 radio from 36Mhz to 2.4 Ghz arrived today. The pictures will show you that you unclip the 36 Mhz transmitter module and clip the 2.4 Ghz module in its place and it is done. You can see the little receiver has a small antenna mounted on top of it and there are no external antennas (external of the boat that is). It was range checked by some guys in Gosford at 7.8 kilometers.
Sorry about the picture quality but that is what happens when you spill your beer over your Nokia N95 and have to replace it with a Nokia N70.

What, no discourse for 3 days. Is it Roo hunting season or has Andy finally been accepted for Jury duty on a human rights case?

Is that the motor for the new boat Andy?
I did a little testing on the rough water today also. The Xzess 2 again. M545 this time @ 93kph and more to come. I never got any temps as I had an audience and gave it a bit too much juice doing an anti-clockwise turn. They don't like turning that way do they? M8 that water is cold now.
I won that other 2.4 Ghz receiver on ebay. If you want that Futaba Faast system it is time to talk turkey. It will have 2 receivers and the transmitter but no servos. I am thinking of a price (not expensive) and will let you know, if you still want it.

Andy, are you running 8S and what prop?

PS Wee Dave did see some idiot with a blunderbuss taking pot shots at some US backpackers, but after the scarry moment the local TV network reported the tourists feared more about the vocal abuse from the chap than the gun

Douggie that wasn't a blunderbuss but an Aussie blowgun. He was cusing at the damn thing because the darts only went about a meter and then fell to the ground.

Ahh I see you had an audience ( bit of skirt there too I would hazard a guess)
and decided to show off how cool a driver you are and how fast your boat can go.

Patrick. FFS. You of all people should know that riggers at speed do not turn well especially to the left
I also know this as I hit a swan today

You swam for it ?? Top skills there Paddy. Don't listen to the W@nkers who say not to. I have very seriously considered it myself on more that one occasion when normal recovery methods are not going to work.

I do swim but my trusty body board or rubber duck is always with me. It was so cold I thought I had a second set of tonsils.

I know what cold water is like, when I was teaching diving years ago we called it peanut cold water. IT was the size of a.... o.k you all get the picture.
There are some really cool (pun intended) stories that I can tell of cold water and "comfort zips" in wet suits. Anyone keen to hear them or can you see the picture now.

I have shut my mouth since the football season started but now after Saint Kilda have won all 8 games and is at the top of the ladder (and has been all season) I just have to say
