Phase seperation occurs when ethanol combines with water in the gas, forming a soupy goop that sinks to the bottom of the tank. No fuel additive can effectivly reverse phase seperation.

I use camp fuel in all my small/er engines.. weed wacker, Rio51 and other gas stuff..

If I have to use standard gas I hit it with stabil before I pour.

I just read at Wikipedia that Coleman camp fuel cannot be used as a substutue for gasoline. Only 50-55 octane rating...detonation will occur.

White Gas in 2 stroke motors is 100% perfect to use...
it cannot be used bor 4 stroke motors

Regular gas has 40% more octane and is 60% cheaper than Coleman. Regular in the two stroke motor seems like a no brainer to me...IF moister is not allowed to collect.

More than a few of us use camp fuel it in our gas RC boats. No detonation problems in my Zenoah (I think 8.9:1 compression). Power may be slightly less than pump gas but my boat can run with the pack no problem. The big advantages are unlimited shelf life, doesn't eat carb diaphragms and no smell. I keep my boats in the basement and the wife doesn't complain. I have a friend who is going to get me a couple gallons of 100LL AVGAS. I'm going to give that a shot and/or mix it with the Colemans.

many reasons in my opionion to run white gas..
for me its the smell factor
from my experience though, mixing with other fuels did not work out well for my 5B

Has anyone ever tried this ethanol free fuel ($6.00 quart). I purchased some at ACE Hardware for my weedeater. Homedepot , Lowes, sells it also.
