From a classic rock station I listened to in the early -mid 80s "No rap, no crap, no New Kids On the Block" and a personal favorite of mine "If Bruce Springsteen is boss I quit!". I hate Springsteen almost as much as rap.
Sadly this station's dedication to these philosophies didn't last.Comment

New technology caused lack of paid advertisement or commercials. You can listen to radio commercial free from the internet. Newer cars allow you to plug cell phone into radio to listen from internet. ..any style of music that you like. I do not own a cell phone, so I copy music onto firestick then plug into radio usb port.
