Congress shall make no law recognizing corporations, interest groups, large sums of money, real estate, special benefits, as U.S. Citizens or having the same and equal rights thereof.Originally posted by Dr. Jet View PostI saw this in an email the other day. This is something that those on the Left and those on the Right should agree upon. A proposed 28th ammendment to the US Constitution. Short and sweet:
Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.
How about it boys and girls? Is this a good start?Government Moto:
"Why fix it? Blame someone else for breaking it."

I believe Andy is looking at the 1992 Clinton/Bush election which included Ross Perot. In that election Clinton received 43% of the popular vote. Bush got 37% and Perot about 19%. So he interprets that as 56% of the popular vote against Clinton. Using the same "logic" Bush was opposed by 62% and Perot opposed by 80% of the popular vote.Originally posted by domwilson View PostTrying to research myself.
Of course in the Electoral College results Clinton got 69% to Bush's 31%.Don't get me started
