So wait, is she an American citizen visiting/living over there or is she native philipino/a (sp?)? My dad got caught in southern Mexico with his arm split wide open and the doctors told him $1500 cash or they wont touch him. Luckily he was with a bunch of sailing buddies that found a tourist trap hotel with an ATM and bailed him out. Poorer countries see an American walk through the door and see nothing but $$$ tattooed on their forehead..
