that when things around the house go pear shape, they wait untill a holiday evening to do so? this time its the presure switch on the domestic water pump.

I feel your pain Rex.
Yesterday morning I am sitting on the can (my one, downstairs) and hear a drip sound, this is not the first time but this time it was more regular and louder.
I figured it was from under the kitchen above me. A quick recon and I saw/felt the leak from a nylon elbow joint behind the outside/weather wall but before the interior wall.
I ring Dad, "yes it is between the two walls and is not going inside.....yet"
Another quick look and feel and the elbow splits in my hand.....FARK and lots of other really cool words. The main valve is 20 metres up the drive and I was there in less than a second.
A quick run with an air chisel through the cement board shows the culprit. Water off and damaged section cut out.
I go to Mother in laws house to finish tree work
Wife goes to hospital to see her Mother.
Daugher needs to go to Horse lessons.
I call Dad and say get to my place pronto, no good he is busy and cant be there till later. His later is anyones guess
I go to Horse riding and on the way home get a call from wife "WTF is my water?"or similar.
Cell phones go and Dad can be there after 6
I get home at 5.45 and wait for the %$$##@
Daughter covered in dust etc can not have shower, wife is running short on patience and then he arrives at 6.30
2 minutes with a new elbow joint and his crimp tool and we had water......again.
Time for a beer while the girls have a shower.
That was yesterday.........anyone keen to hear about today ???

Ha , not the house but close. I washed my PU and it was not fun in the cold wind. I wanted it to look nice to go out to Turkey dinner with family. I pull down the driveway to the road and the azz---- cowboy had driven a herd down the road on Thanksgiving morning. It was plastered about 1" deep. What a friggin mess !!Comment
