Why suddenly, when Obama is the one in the crosshairs, are we differentiating this??Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Just asking the question. When I hear the blame placed, I hear it both ways. Same with Obama.Originally posted by Darin Jordan View PostWhy suddenly, when Obama is the one in the crosshairs, are we differentiating this??Government Moto:

Obviously, it's the administration as a whole that is partially to blame... But just like with the Wallstreet guys, it's the top guy that takes the heat and is ultimately responsible. He/She is the one who picked many of them...Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Dang! You caught it...I was going the direction that the media, regardless of who is spewing it, can influence our perceptions. This is why I try to watch different networks with opposing views. I try to get all the information on a subject of interest.Originally posted by Darin Jordan View PostWhat are you trying to lead me into saying here, Dom??Government Moto:

Here is a PERFECT example of what I'm talking about...
On CNN.com, there is a story about Sarah Palin's book tour:
Ticker: Palin book tour raises eyebrows
When you read the story, there is NOTHING in there that would "raise" anyone's eyebrows... it just tells how she is bypassing conventional paths for a book tour and hitting more rural areas...
CNN is GENERATING contraversy with this headline, when NONE exists... AND it's slanted to the left here to try to make Mrs. Palin look like she is doing something wrong...
How about just telling me the story, and leave your personal views OUT of the headlines...

This is why one should get their news from various sources. All the big players seem to do this. Some more than others.Originally posted by Darin Jordan View PostHow about just telling me the story, and leave your personal views OUT of the headlines...

Weird, that is not the headline I see on that linkOriginally posted by Darin Jordan View PostHere is a PERFECT example of what I'm talking about...
On CNN.com, there is a story about Sarah Palin's book tour:
Ticker: Palin book tour raises eyebrows
This is what it reads:
It goes on to say:Palin book tour takes unconventional path
According to Harper Collins, the publisher of Palin's forthcoming memoir "Going Rogue," Palin will bypass several of the major cities that are often the pillars of any big book tour, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia.
Palin's schedule instead takes the former Republican vice presidential candidate to smaller - and in many cases more conservative - cities like Fort Wayne, Indiana, Washington, Pennsylvania, Roanoke, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida.Don't get me started
