Here is something to chew on:
Think about it ...

Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives supported the Swift Boat campaign of lies against John Kerry.
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives supported Republicans in voting against children getting access to Health Care..
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives supported Republicans CRIMINALIZING Seniors for daring to cross into Canada for cheaper meds.
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives support Republican opposition to helping Americans deal with the Health Care Crisis.
Is that something Jesus would support? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives preach hatred against Catholics, Unitarians, Atheists.
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservatives support Modern Republican efforts to promote Welfare for the Wealthy ... in schemes such as "Trickle Down Economics". ... ... ... and to ignore the crisis of the middle classes ... and the poor.
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.
---
Christian Conservative deride the concept of Global Warming ... preferring to advocate for ADDITIONAL pollution ... and REJECT efforts to curb pollution ... with NO regard for God's creation ... our Planet.
Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.

Is that something Jesus would do? ... NO.

You might say, who am I to say what Jesus would or would not support. Well ... all one has to do is read the Bible with an open heart.
If one does that, one can conclude that Jesus brought a message of Peace ... of Love ... of Acceptance ... ... ... NONE of which are reflected in the Modern Christian Conservative .
.
This is an open message to America's Modern Christian Conservatives ... America does not believe you carry a Christian Message .
America considers Modern Christian Conservatives to carry a message of bigotry, irrational love for aggression, social injustice, intolerance - and hatred of your fellow man.Mini Cat Racing USA

I myself don't believe that. I believe the perversion of man to manipulate his beliefs to the detriment of others is more of the problem. I don't know of any religion that calls upon us to act with disdain towards our fellow man. To kill, maim, cheat, disrespect, dishonor, or even hate are not the teachings of any religion I'm aware of. These are the acts of man using religion to justify his own weaknesses and self-loathing.Government Moto:

The Christian Religion is all about power money and mind control. There are some good small churches around that do good things but they are becoming extremely rare. Look at the vast amounts of money in the Catholic empire. Evangelical fundamentalists just have to build bigger bigger bigger so their pastors/founders become millionaires. Most wars fought over the history of the world have been on religious grounds. There have been incredible crimes committed by the church in the name of God.
The LAST thing we need is religious nuts (or another one) in the White House. There's already too many of them in the GOP!

The problem is far too many of today's evangelicals are following man, their preacher and the radical right GOP rather than Jesus. Jesus has become a convenient 'vehicle', or excuse, for the mega churches to exist. Their message is more about intolerance, hate, power, and wealth than it is Jesus' teachings.Mini Cat Racing USA

Ya know what is great about this thread? That people can discuss, with civility, a sensitive topic that inflames so many without the hinderance of color. We don't know what race, for the most part, the other person is on the other side of the keyboard. And yet this has remained very civil. A true testament to the character of everyone who has posted.
To me, skin color is only what we see. Not what we feel. Be proud of who you are.

I do not hold all accountable for one. I judge on a one on one basis, and in my court everyone is guilty until proven worthy.
Earthling, good one Doby, I'll have to use thatThe Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.
