    Obama

Just a question. I was excited by his election, now I am not so sure. No right or left politics ....PLEASE

Is this man the real deal? I am worried for your country, as you have a HUGE deficit, financed by China.

    Douggie,

I am unsure what you mean by the real deal. So far, he has not shown me much. His actions are as empty as his words were before hand.

Sure he sounded good, lots of fancy words, and unreachable ideals. But now its time to deliver, and he is worried about having a beer summit, and when asked how he plans to finance healthcare he openly says he doesn't know.....

I think, as are most, hes just another useless Democrat.

I think he is earnest and genuine in his desire to effect meaningful change for our country. I also think he severely under estimated the lengths that his opponents would go to in order to stymie his efforts.

I also think that like so many before him, once in office he was met with some cold hard realties that are unknowable prior to swearing the oath.

But it is early in his term and I am hopeful that he gets a grasp on how to move his agenda forward. For now I can say that I am extremely disappointed in his, and other Democrats, ability to stand up to the GOP and the right wing fringe. I wish just for once that the Democrats would grow a pair and do what we elected them to do.

Although I didn't support him during the election, I think we now see a President who is all but overwhelmed by what he faces. I don't think there are simple solutions for the issues he (and we) face today.

What does bother me lately is the fact that during this intense public debate regarding health care, where misinformation perpetrated by few has become the norm, Obama seems to be losing support from his own party. Are these Dems going to turn their back on the President only because they want to stay in office?, or because they really think it is the right thing to do?

I do hope that if nothing else, Obama pushing the health care issue will result in productive discussion in government, productive change, that ALL Americans can benefit from.

I'm not renouncing my conservative nature here, but in this endeavor, I do hope he succeeds.

I agree with you, Bill. He has come up against some stiff opposition. Not from people who have a genuine concern for the country, but by some who just want to stay in office or are looking out for their own interests. Then there are those who just throw reason out the window and want to fight anything that Democrats/Independents/constitutionalists/Other Republicans have to offer.
The guy has been in office 7 months and people expect everything the previouse administration broke, to be fixed overnight.

Obama, was given a sinking ship and I mean sinking, not only that the crew is also sabotaging the rescue.

It is easy to blame issues on the "previous administration". Thats all BS. We could root the issues back to friggin Washington for the sake of pete. Obama supporters blame Bush, Bush supporters Blame Clintoon, etc etc. All worth a pile of road apples far as I am concerned.

The real issue, is when is there going to be someone, anyone, who is for the American People? Rather than big business, and their own pet agendas?

I can not think, in recent memory of a single politician worth spit.

That's sad, as I have had 24 years of being able to vote.

The fact is we root for our favorite party as if it were a sporting event, when in fact the politicians are completely as out of touch with Americans, as most Americans are with the issues.

We are a Nation of people who care more about the interior of our cars being clean, than we do the issues that effect the future.

When polled, I bet most could not even tell you the elephant and donkey are political party symbols, and which party they represent.

Hell most college Grads can not spell Mayonnaise.

I think we are a product of what we create.

Well, you certainly cannot blame Obama for the problems created during the Bush administration.

No but can we find some ridiculous way to blame the Bush issues on that previous administration? Of course.

Its time to stop passing the buck. period.

If Obama could not handle the heat, he should have kept his butt out of the kitchen.
