This article is so sad. I heard a long summary of BS on this. They have to blow them up because they cannot use saws in that forrest due to laws. So no chainsaws, but explosives ok... i feel myself headed to the unwanted political realm.... Could it be the EPA and its long tentacles?

The merit of exploding them was to reduce contamination local water during thaw.. but wont exploding carcasses hit that water just a bit sooner ?
