Call me "Old School" (I am), but when I worked at the LHS [ Local Harley Shop] and a prospective buyer said " I have to go home and ask my wife if I can buy it" I gave him the "look" and told him : " OK, I'll go home and ask my wife if I can sell it". I still feel that if you have to ask your wife's permission to buy a Harley, you shouldn't be riding one.

Caution : do not try to read the word between "Harley" and "Davidson" on my gas tank. Hint : It ryhmes with " Duckin'"

Tony, if you said a Ducati, the wifey would probably think it was a sexy piece of furniture.

Douggie, I was a Ducati salesman when I worked for a sportbike dealer. Total works of art. The most beautiful motorcycle I ever saw [ and had a chance to test ride] was a 1989 Paso 750. I raised the cash to buy the 904 Paso but it was bought out from under me - I took the money & built the bike I now have. Still wish I could score a Paso 'tho.
