I was going to pull one of the red wires but there is no red wires to pull, I asked if i needed to pull a wire from one of the escs and what color, at fliermodel they said no need to remove any wires with the y harness, i thought that was strange, but they are the experts so conected up the esc still works, but i cant enter the programme mode when i plug it in on it own. so somethink has gone pop, i think it is just one bec
the wire from memory are brown, orange ,black the other bec on my fc 240A still works ok.

What would the beter boat to run a single motor 12s sport setup Leopard 4092 700kv
the FC Cheetah or the FC Fantasm?

kind of got myself in a pickle, I have both hulls, one might have to go but not sure what way to go.
even worse the Fantasm hull I have is a Zonda twin setup hull, long story.
major FC esc problems with the twin setup Zonda one esc as failed before i even run one of the internal becs has blown in one of the escs, so i am unable to programme one now,
spoke with Cathy at fliermodel she tells me i need to buy two more escs with the latest firmwear to run twin motor.WTF is she on about
I only bought a secound 8s 250A from them last week with a full explanation and pictures of my intented setup and the esc i already had asked for advise as to what i would need to conect both escs together, supplied me with a y harness this is the one that has blown the internal bec first time i plugged in.
One option, could I convert a esc with a blown build in bec to run on Ubec?

Did you pull one of the red wires Sam?You would need to pull one of the ESC's red wires to run one BEC.if they just got plugged in you would be firing up both BEC's and that's not good.Same goes for a UBEC,pull both red wires.

I'll let you know when I get it. Right now it's with Steve at airbrush alley. He said it should be done by this Friday. If you see him post pics of a Fantasm in the next week. It should be mine. Can't wait to see how it runs

I just got my new 4092 700kv motor fitted in my Cheetah last night so will get to try this out on 12s at the weekend, kind of see what Keith means about the Cheetah being twined, instead of a single due to how wide it is, i find i runs flat and rocks a bit as a single, but i need to do a bit more tunning,
One more option is that i could convert the Zonda to a single and the Cheetah to a twin using the Zonda parts, im sure i could get the to fit. could be a winter project, but do i want the hasle?

From what all Keith Bradley has told me. He said the cheetah benifits more from a twin setup, cause how wide the hull is. I had him build me a single Fantasm to run 8s sport and saw on 10s. He said it should fly. But I'm going agaist his advice, I'm building me a single cheetah this winter. Going to be my first full build. But if I already knew how to fully build a boat from scratch, I would build a twin.
