5xl??? How many cells

I ran a 6xl On 3s and it would get hot as would the esc

Thanks guys, I think I'm going with the 3s and see what happens. Would a v937 prop on a rigger work pretty good?

I used a 5XL to set a SAW record 5 years ago with twelve round cells. That's about 11 volts fully loaded, so even 3S is very hot.

that would make a good 2s motor propped accordingly and a hot 3s motor. 4s will be very extreme and used for SAW passes only.

How many cells can you run on a 5xl motor? I'm thinking this is a 3 to 4 cell motor.
