I know you didn't ask, so please excuse my forwardness in making a setup suggestion...make sure you start out with the strut parallel to the keel. It looks like it is tilted upwards.
I think I payed $299 because it's the first thing I bought off them
That makes sense. It does get a bit cheaper once you get to the next level. For instance, I'm a platinum level member now and the boat itself without shipping is $217.00 for me.
Right, i got my hobby king NTN-600 today and here is may tak on it. The hull looks pretty good and its a very attractive boat but the paint job isnt A1. also the motor mount is only fiberglass and will prob need changing at some point. By the looks of it the esc is a pile of crap but i have a seaking 60a on the way. Im not a hardcore boater like some of you guys i just like a boat that looks cool and runs pretty quick so i think this will do me for a little while. All in all im not sure it is worth $299 and prob only any good for beginers/intermediate. For and extra $50 you can get the venom P1 and thats rtr but with this you need the radio gear. Just my view. Will let you know how it runs when i get my lipos, might thry it on a 7.2v till then.
